AOl Jennifer 26 year old girl and an orphan from a family of nine siblings she was born with a physical disorder. She hails from Ayom village, Bardege Divison, Gulu District. AOL dropped out of school in Primary four due to continued stigma from fellow children at school who made her a laughing stock because of her condition and the 5km distance she had to walk every morning while moving slowly without transport and balancing her steps with her size of the head. The mother could no longer afford to pay her school fees because of the many children at home she was taking care of single-handedly.

AOl is very bitter with her life and feels useless and has become a problem to her family. She feels she has reached the time of getting married but can’t because no man will marry her with her current illness.  Fluid needs to be constantly drained from her head, if not drained after every six months she it leads to constant headache.

We seek your support for AOL, to help give her a normal life for her to be able to live her home and start a life of her own by helping her to own Land to build a house as well as undertake skills training like making beads, bags and others that don’t require hectic movements and engagements to be able to acquire income of her own.

She would need medical support for constant extraction of the water from her head that happens every six month.
